Turning a trading method into a real online academy: videos protected against leaks, progression locked until each exercise is validated, and corrections filmed by the mentor.
Trentscale is a trading academy that wanted to move from scattered content (videos on Drive, access granted by hand, tracking on a spreadsheet) to a real platform where students learn, validate what they've learned and progress in one place. The method is demanding: a student should only move on once each step is mastered.
My role · Fullstack, from zero to launchWithout a platform, scaling was impossible: every student needed manual follow-up, training videos circulated unprotected (risk of leaks and reselling of paid content), and nothing guaranteed a student had mastered a concept before moving to the next. Premium know-how shipped with duct-tape tools.
A gated progression path
The pedagogical core: a student only unlocks the next video after their exercise on the previous one is validated. Progress is computed in real time from videos watched and exercises validated. No shortcut, the instructor keeps control of quality.
Protected video streaming
Streaming via Mux with signed URLs (expiring tokens) and a watermark on every video. Paid content is only viewable by a logged-in member, and any leak stays traceable back to the student.
Video-based exercise corrections
The whole validation cycle is modeled cleanly: the student submits an exercise, books a call slot, receives a personalized correction video, then confirms or requests another pass. Each step is locked and notified by email.
A bilingual student area
Course content and interface in both French and English, with a structure designed to add content without touching the code.
An admin back-office
An admin space to manage members, content, the correction queue and access. The instructor runs the whole academy from a single dashboard, without depending on the dev.

Signed URLs and a traceable watermark: paid know-how is only viewable when logged in, no more leaking Drive links.
Progress under control
Students validate each step before moving on: the instructor keeps control of quality, with no manual tracking.
An autonomous instructor
Members, content and corrections are managed from a dedicated back-office, without going back to the dev day to day.
An academy that scales without manual follow-up
Before, every student needed hands-on follow-up. Now the platform handles progression, content protection and corrections: the trainer takes on far more students without spending their days on it.
