Subaclean.
Showing what happens under the hull
The website of Subaclean, a diver who cleans hulls afloat in the marinas of Marseille: a bilingual showcase that makes visible a job nobody sees from the dock, and leads to a call or a pre-written WhatsApp message.
Visit the site
Subaclean is Lucas Lepage's business: he dives under boats, right in the marina, to clean the hull, propeller and shaft, with no crane and no haul-out. Clients found him through Instagram and word of mouth. He needed a site of his own, in French and English for visiting sailors.
My role · Website design and developmentThe whole service happens underwater: owners see neither the fouling nor the work. The site had to make the problem visible, reassure on price (it depends on the hull) and cut contact down to one tap, on a phone, from the pontoon.
Make the invisible visible
The hero shows a hull split by the surface, clean above and covered in algae below, then a « Below the waterline » section explains what fouling costs in speed and fuel.
Proof from the field
Photos and reels from his Instagram, recropped for the web: a video of a job in the Vieux-Port and a before/after seen from the dock.
Honest pricing, direct contact
No made-up price list: three steps (you call, you get a quote, I clean it afloat), a call button and a WhatsApp link that opens a message already filled with the marina and boat length.
Easy to maintain
TanStack Start prerendered to static HTML, French and English copy typed in one file, the phone number changed in one place for the whole site, CSS wave animation with reduced motion respected.
What it actually changed.
A service you can finally see
Visitors understand in one image what happens under their hull and why it needs care.
Frictionless contact
From the pontoon, one call or a pre-filled WhatsApp message is enough to ask for a quote.
Ready for visiting sailors
The English version opens the service to foreign boats calling at Marseille.
